It’s only a small overall change, but the teeth are better proportioned and the final orthodontic result will look fantastic!

And here’s the other side:

Again, too big? Nope. It’ll be perfect once the braces are finished and the tissue heals. And look at how well the bonding blends with the natural tooth. Can you see where one begins and the other ends? I sure can’t!
So, here’s the same tooth after bonding:

Too big? Not really. It has the ideal proportion compared to the central incisor. After the orthodontist moves it into place, and the tissue heals, it will look perfect!
Here’s the other lateral incisor, again before bonding:

The back edge appears to have a small fracture. But this is easily fixed when we add to this area.
You can see the appearance of the patient’s lateral incisors here:

The gum tissue between this tooth and the one to our left (the central incisor) is slightly puffy from the braces, so it makes the tooth appear slightly larger. The difference in proportion is small, but fixing it now will ultimately make for a better looking final result.
An orthodontist asked for assistance with our mutual patient. The patient’s lateral incisors (next to the big middle teeth) were slightly undersized and he wanted them bonded FIRST to make their size ideal, then he would finish his orthodontics. This is an excellent way to get an ideal esthetic result, as described here.
The orthodontist was kind enough to take off the brackets on the front 4 teeth. Here’s how things looked:
Yes, it’s a problem for ANY office or home computer that has internet access. So we’re VERY careful about what sites we visit and keeping our virus security updated. Having said that, there’s a new virus (isn’t there ALWAYS a new one?) that you should be aware of. It impersonates a Windows Activation screen. Read more about it here.
