Another fractured front tooth

Since this tooth was cracked for a second time, this patient was told by her dentist that the ONLY solution was to place a porcelain crown. She wasn’t excited about the possibility of having a crown on this one front tooth.  I took a more conservative approach, though…..what would YOU want done with YOUR tooth?

See the carpet is covered? It wasn’t covered for very long! And look down the hall on the left. A portion of wall is missing. This used to be a small business office that was accessed through a doorway in the front desk area. We closed off the doorway and opened the back wall to this hall.  This will now be our sterilization center.

Now here is where things get interesting. Today, a cavity moves in exactly the opposite manner. With the use of fluoride and sealants, the enamel on most teeth is almost impervious to bacterial assault. A cavity can take many years to start and will almost always be small, or nonexistent, in the enamel. But once it breaks into the softer material inside the tooth, it can grow undetected for many years.

Along with Windows Vista, Microsoft is launching the release of Office 07.  Many of us use some of the features of Office including Word, Excel and others.  As an alternative, Google has its’ own version.  Google’s are all easily sent through e-mail and can be worked online with someone else.  Does Microsoft have something to worry about??  Try it here.

These teeth will eventually have porcelain veneers, but the bonding should hold the teeth in the correct position for many years.

As you know, Windows has many programs running in the background that start automatically when you start or reboot. These are called Services. Many of these just aren’t needed for most users. They slow the system down and potentially open your computer to security risks.

Take a look at this site. It tells you how to find these Services and if you should leave them alone or turn them off.
