Many of you have made the switch to Windows Vista as your operating system. Many more are like me….still using Windows XP and waiting a while to try Microsoft’s latest and greatest. If so, you’ll want to try these utilities that will help speed XP’s performance. To read more click here.
Many of us use software that is considered ‘freeware’, that is, free to download from the internet and use. Now PC World has compiled the ‘20 Best’ of this category. Check it out here and see if you can use any!

So to review….we took a compromised situation with poorly-sized teeth that did not fit the face or smile of this pretty patient.

With a lot of work, the solution was to make teeth that were the correct proportion, design the bridge to fit the smile/face, and fill in the missing gum tissue with pink-colored porcelain. Everyone involved was really excited about the final, beautiful result!!

With the tissue/bone loss the teeth all looked the same. There was no differentiation between any of the front teeth.

And look to the left on the picture (or the patient’s right side). The gum tissue is very inflamed and irritated because of the poor fit of this existing bridge.
One of my favorite products for keeping spyware and adware in check is called Ad-aware. I’ve used it routinely for years now and it’s always worked well. They recently updated this program. There’s a few different versions but I’ve always been happy with the free-ware. Read about it here.
It’s become commonplace to store data online (or ‘offsite’). In dentistry an office can back-up and store their entire hard drive with online services. Many people (including myself) store photos this way. Here’s an interesting article discussing some of the potential problems with this: article

It’s only a small overall change, but the teeth are better proportioned and the final orthodontic result will look fantastic!
And here’s the other side:

Again, too big? Nope. It’ll be perfect once the braces are finished and the tissue heals. And look at how well the bonding blends with the natural tooth. Can you see where one begins and the other ends? I sure can’t!
