Yes, there really IS a difference in where you get your dental supplies. I can order the SAME EXACT products through Darby Dental (which is who Synergy has contracted with) only they’re SUBSTANTIALLY less money. And as an added bonus, the reps are extremely knowledgeable. Here’s another view of these teeth. You can see some of the fractured bonding, but more importantly, look at the relation of the top and bottom teeth and the inward angulation of the top teeth. The primary reason these teeth, and the bonding that is on them, continue to fracture is a ‘tooth-positional’ problem. They are in the wrong place. So the obvious solution would be to move edge of the top front teeth OUT, and the edge of the bottom front teeth IN. This would position these teeth more ideally, so that when we restored them with veneers they would function properly and last a long time. Would you consider orthodontics if you were in this situation??

This sweet lady had been seeing another dentist for many years, but continues to have problems with her front teeth. The bonding she has on these teeth continues to periodically fracture and has started to look bad. She wanted to know her alternatives, as she is tired of continually having these teeth broken and repaired. Look at how they meet the bottom teeth. What would you see as your possible options?

The easiest, fastest way to at least temporarily fix this tooth was some bonding. Yes, it will DEFINITELY need a more definitive restoration (a crown) in the near future. But this will get him out the door and looking presentable!

Chipped teeth need Veneers?

At what point does a tooth need a veneer? We’ll discuss the criteria I use at a later date, but this nice young lady was told she needed veneers on these teeth. Now I’ll admit the teeth are not too pretty with the chipped and broken edges, but does it REALLY require veneers to properly restore them???

Here’s a patient that was told she’d need veneers due to the ’severe’ chipping and breakage of her front teeth. Now of course she didn’t like how the teeth looked, but she wondered if she really need something as costly and invasive as a veneer. Take a look below….what do you think??
